The Cowley County Sheriff’s office is investigating a fatal accident that happened on Friday. The sheriff’s office says deputies were dispatched to a one-car accident on K-15 Highway near 232nd Road south of Dexter. A black Chevy Tahoe was traveling northbound when it left the roadway and rolled, coming to rest in the east ditch. Two people were declared dead at the scene. They were the driver, 46 year old Tracy Carr of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a passenger, identified as 41 year old Lindsey Nightengale of Wichita, Kansas. Another passenger was transported to South Central Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
