County offices including health department closed today

The Board of Commissioners of Cowley County has closed all county administrative offices today and Wednesday. The City-Cowley County Health Department says the offices of the health department in Ark City and Winfield also will be closed today and tomorrow due to the inclement winter weather and risks of power outages.

A new report shows Kansas is continuing to struggle to get the COVID 10 vaccine out. WIBW says according to Becker’s Hospital Review, reviewing CDC data, Kansas ranks 48th out of the states for giving out the vaccine. Only Alaska and Alabama are doing worse than Kansas.
