STORM DAMAGE AT THE FAIRGROUNDS

According to ctnewsonline.com, a severe storm that came through Cowley County early Saturday morning caused extensive damage and led to events at the Cowley County Fair being rescheduled.

The Cowley County Fair Board reported on their Facebook page that winds at the fairgrounds reached 70 miles per hour. No animals were lost or injured in the storm, and there was no damage to the Barn 4 exhibits or to the vendors under the grandstands. However, there were numerous trees uprooted, power lines down and broken utility poles, according to the board.
